star the portfolio – see our work firsthand

it would be some task to show you every website we’ve ever worked on, so instead we’ve included some of our most recent work to give you a good idea of the type of sites which we produce

Web Design and Development

On these projects we took on the responsibility of building complete websites from the ground up.

Virgin Atlantic Airways

Virgin Atlantic Airways - April 2010 - http://blog.vtravelled.com

Virgin Atlantic got in touch with us to do a complete design and build for the blog of their brand new travel community: vtravelled.com. The blog is powered by Wordpress and has a lot of custom functionality built in. It was launched in April 2010 and was very warmly received by all who visited. You can find a detailed case study about this project here.

Cresti.es

Cresti.es - September 2009 - http://cresti.es

We completed both the branding and a simple one page site for Phil Miller, who is one of the finest Crested Gecko breeders in the UK. The site makes some great use of JQuery animation to navigate between different sections of the page, and is a perfect example of what you can expect from the 2009 packages which we’ve been speaking to people about.

Ubisoft

Ubisoft - August 2009 - http://www.ubi.com

We were taken on by Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest videogame publishers, in order to help them with some urgent web design work for one of their upcoming major game releases. Due to the nature of the project and the strict nature of the industry we aren’t able to share the exact details with you, but here’s what Ubisoft had to say about us:

“We had just three days to fully redesign the homepage of one of our upcoming titles. During that time the team at Lyrical Media showed an immediate and comprehensive understanding of the requirements, as well as delivering really great results after working overtime to meet our deadline.”

O’No! Typography

O’No! Typography - July 2009 - http://bit.ly/ono-typography

This was a free template designed for exclusive release by Smashing Magazine. The idea behind the layout was to create something very simple, but very detailed and adaptable. Cufon is the driving force behind most of the type itself, even the body text, which means that it looks fantastic in all browsers – even ones which don’t usually bother to anti-alias (smooth) the text.

John O’Nolan

John O’Nolan - April 2009 - http://john.onolan.org

This is the personal site of Lyrical Media’s founder, John O’Nolan! Built on Wordpress, this is the place where he regularly writes about the life of running a web design business.

SEO and Internet Marketing

On these projects we performed Search Engine Optimisation and Internet Marketing consultation.

Allan Banks

Allan Banks - March 2008 - http://www.allanbanks.co.uk

Allan Banks is a Worthing based driving instructor offering a wide range of services and teaches in an extremely helpful and professional manner. Allan came to us with his site which wasn’t ranking anywhere for terms which he desperately needed to target.

We performed some extensive work on Allan’s site, including converting the code from tables and javascript to pure (and valid) xHtml and CSS. In addition we implemented a detailed content rewrite and several internal and external link building strategies.
