what we do – in plain english
we know that web designers seem to forget that normal people want to understand this stuff too, so we made this
I want a website, how much is it going to cost?

This is one of our ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ – perhaps unsurprisingly! The simple answer is ‘it depends’.
Imagine we were a construction company and you came to us saying ‘I want you to construct a building for me. How much will it cost?’ – we’ve got no idea what sort of building you’re after. What size? What will the building be used for? How many people are you expecting to use it? In short, we need more details!
The point of this metaphor is basically that we can’t just say ‘this type of website will always cost £X.’ Every client is different, just like every website is different. Therefore, the best thing you can do is provide a detailed project specification for your site, letting us know exactly what you’d like us to do.
send us a detailed project spec outlining what sort of site you want.
you
want to get a website set up for yourself or your business

ok, let’s see what we can do for you

The next step in getting your website set up is a ‘needs assessment’ meeting. This is basically a relaxed meeting where we can make sure we are all on the same page in terms of what the website will look like, how it will work, what sort of features you need and/or want.
This allows us to get to know you as a client and, more importantly, it allows you to get to know us and make sure we’re the right people for the job.
Once the meeting is over, we’ll get to work and send you a detailed proposal. Any changes that need to be made are not a problem as nothing is set in stone at this point, so any additions or anything you’re not 100% happy with can be worked out easily.
we figure out exactly what you need for your site.
we
set up a meeting and go over all the details of your site

now let’s get the paperwork out of the way

Once you are happy with our proposal we’ll put a contract together and ask you to sign it.
We’ll also ask you for a deposit. Our contracts include a 100% money-back guarantee, which states that we will do everything we’ve said we will in the proposal or you’ll get your money back. This means that both parties know where they stand and what is expected of them.
Obviously, if you have any problems or concerns about the contract we’re always willing to go through it with you, in person or via email/phone at your convenience. The contract is a really important part of the process and it’s vital everyone is comfortable before it is signed.
the contract is sent over to you for your perusal.
you
sign off on our proposal and contract, and place the intial deposit

so, let’s get started on your brand new website

You can now sit back and relax, your website is in good hands! We’ll design the site within the agreed time scale, making sure to come back to you regularly in between with updates and work reviews.
We’re always conscious that a website can be crucial to not just you, but your business, so it’s important to us to keep you in the loop. You’re always welcome to get in touch and ask us how things are progressing and we’ll do our best to give you a comprehensive answer, and to answer any queries you might have.
Once the website is completed and you’re pleased with the final product, we’ll sign off on the work. The process is almost finished.
let the work begin! we now start putting your site together.
we
get started on all the work and start building you the perfect website

the big day is here, your site is ready for launch!

Once the work is signed off, we’ll ask you for the remainder of the bill. This will have been agreed in the preliminary stages and will not have changed.
When this has been paid, the website is yours! We’ll deliver the website to you and discuss any ongoing maintenance with you. Obviously, we expect some maintenance work on websites that we have designed and developed, especially in the first couple of months of going live.
Should you want us to continue to maintain and look after the website on a longer-term basis, we can discuss further work and payment at this point.
Otherwise, our work is done!
the work is completed and your site is ready to go.
you
can now enjoy your new website, and start watching the visitor stats roll in!
